Belgian Hot Chocolate

A sweater for your insides! This adult hot chocolate is spiked with coffee liqueur and cinnamon, and capped with a big pillow of whipped cream, if you’d like.
BELGIAN HOT CHOCOLATE
1.5 ounces Songbird Coffee Liqueur
½ ounce cinnamon syrup (recipe follows)
6 ounces hot chocolate
garnish: whipped cream, plus orange peel and cinnamon stick if you’re feeling fancy
Combine ingredients in a mug, then stir and garnish.
*To make cinnamon simple syrup: In a saucepan, combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar and 4 cinnamon sticks, and let simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Cool completely then remove cinnamon sticks before using.
